About us

The Center for Health Policy and Public Health (CHPPH) is one of the operating components of the Institute for Social Research, which is the newest research structure of the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, "Babes-Bolyai" University Cluj, Romania.

CHPPH seeks to accomplish its mission by promoting an interdisciplinary approach to the health sciences research. The Center is in the process of initiating a wide range of research projects involving researchers with different backgrounds (Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Public Health, Communication and Public Relations, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Political Sciences, Law, Economical Sciences, Geography, Information Technology).

CHPPH is involved in a continous development process, establishing communication channels with scientific research networks and individual researchers. In respect of the view that original and innovative research demands a periodical change of perspective, CHPPH is open to cooperation with all researchers and stakeholders with an interest in health.

A special focus of CHPPH is on the students. Involving them as early as possible in the transdisciplinary science world, using a friendly approach, will enable them to broaden their horizon and be more open to a scientific career and, in the same time, to develop flexible mind patterns.
